This outstanding premier cru in St Aubin sits on top of the hill that peaks between Chassagne and St Aubin, just behind Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru. The wine is a blend of five parcels within En Remilly, and expresses the vineyard’s natural tendency to floral, peachy fruit, with mineral tension underneath. This 2018 has power and panache with a citrus freshness driving through to a long finish. 20% new oak gives the fruit all the support it needs in this hugely accomplished effort from Damien Colin.

A whiff of petrol character can be found on the pear, apple and citrus confit-suffused nose. I like the vibrancy and seductive texture of the overtly stony medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a very dry and youthfully austere finish. This seductive but racy effort is really lovely and well worth checking out. *Outstanding, Top Value*
